Lake District Landscapes – Windermere, Coniston, Thirlmere

Last week as a family we visited the Lake District, a foreign holiday seemed like a little to much with a 5 month old. So we thought we’d visit somewhere in this country we hadn’t visited before and eventually decided on a apartment at Windermere Marina Village in The Lake District.

The Lake District is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit but the long drive has always put me off but decided to bite the bullet and go for it.  After 7 hours, lots of food, bottle stops and one scratched car at the services. We arrived at our Marina side apartment, which was brilliant, and I’d totally recommend it. There was great access to the Lakes and walking distance from Bowness.

We had an amazing time went Boating, Canoeing, Zorbing, Mountaineering (our 6 month came in her carrier) and climbing to name a few. We are now planning another visit next year.

One of the reasons for visiting apart from a well deserved family break was to try and get a few photos of the famous landscapes, something different from Dartmoor and some fresh inspiration.

Below are a few of the Landscapes that I managed to capture during a very busy week. We’re now having a rest from our holiday

All photos are available as prints, canvases or framed artwork please get in touch for a personal quotation.
