Jo & Rich – Slapton & South Allington House Wedding Devon

A few weeks ago Anna & I were lucky enough to cover Jo & Rich’s Wedding in Sunny Slapton. The morning was rather showery and generally damp but we had plenty of time to get some outside photos first thing & through out the day. We meet with the Grooms Men in the Tower Inn in Slapton, Devon and took some photographs of the chaps while they were having a few pre wedding ‘looseners’ to settle any nerves. Then we headed off to Jo’s parent house to get some of the preparations. The house was a great spot for this part of the day, lovely large light rooms which we had no problems with lighting even on a grey afternoon.

We then set of to the church and awaited the bridal partys arrival. Jo managed to dodge a shower which looked like it was going to make her entrance slightly tricky but it dried up just in time as she arrived at the church.
The church was full with standing room only at the back and a sense of anticipation was growing as word filtered through that Jo had arrived. The guests wernt kept waiting long as she soon made her way in following behind her were her bridesmaids dressed in Coral pink.

Rich was waiting patiently at the alter and was visibly moved by how naturally beautiful Jo looked. The service went very well with the choir and guests in fine voice.

After the service the weather had cleared slightly allowing the now newly married husband and wife to drive to South Allington, Devon, near Kingsbridge, with the roof down on their vintage car.

The marquee was superbly decorated with lots of home made bunting. Most of which Jo had made herself and from what she told me was no easy undertaking. This gave it all a very personal and intimate feel which was carried throughout with the rest of the decorations.

Congratulations to both Jo & Rich and thanks for having us along on the day.
